Let us reflect on a significant event held here. In August 2017 Phap Vien Minh Dang Quang hosted a memorial. It honored the Venerable Master Giac Nhien. The event spanned two days. Monks and nuns gathered from across the United States. People came from Canada and Australia too.
The first day was filled with meditation and teachings. Venerable Minh Thanh led these activities. He is the abbot of Phap Vien Minh Dang Quang in Tampa. The air was thick with reverence.

During the ceremony Venerable Minh Tong spoke. He honored the life of the Venerable Master. He was a key figure in the Giáo hội Phật giáo Tăng-già Khất sĩ Thế giới. He also founded the Tổ đình Minh Đăng Quang in California.
At that time, the Giáo Hội made an important decision. They appointed Venerable Thich Minh Dieu as the abbot. The ceremony ended with offerings to the monks. Attendees shared a meal fostering unity.
