Was this perhaps the site of a miracle? The Parrocchia di Santa Lucia del Tarù stands here in quiet dignity. It’s a beacon of faith in the bustling locality of Tarù, Zelarino. This parish church, dedicated to Saint Lucy, holds within its walls a story spanning half a century. 50 years of community, faith, and celebration. In 2019, the Parrocchia di Santa Lucia del Tarù marked its 50th anniversary. A momentous occasion graced by the Patriarch of Venice himself, Francesco Moraglia, who led the celebratory mass. The air vibrated with joy as the community came together, their shared history echoing in their heartbeats. And for a day, this humble parish was honored with a sacred relic – a fragment of the body of Saint Lucy. Brought from its usual resting place in the Sanctuary of Saint Lucy in Cannaregio, it served as a poignant reminder of the saint’s enduring presence in the heart of Venice.
