You can’t miss it.” Paróquia São Marcos is nestled in the Jardim Camargo Novo neighborhood of São Paulo. It serves as a spiritual haven for the community. The parish was established in 1987. It’s a relatively young parish compared to some of São Paulo’s grander, older churches. But its youth gives it a vibrancy. Paróquia São Marcos pulsates with the energy of its community. The church is located on Rua Jacareana. The current priest is Father Genivaldo Brás da Silva. He’s assisted by Father José Pereira da Silva. I learned that the parish office is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Saturdays they are open from 9 am to noon and then again from 2 pm to 4 pm. Need a baptism? They happen every first Sunday of the month. Just make sure to register at least eight days prior and bring the necessary documents. Weddings are a bit more complex. You’ll need to book 90 days in advance and gather the required paperwork. Paróquia São Marcos offers both artificial and natural flower decorations for weddings.
