Construction of Paroquia Santo Antonio began in the late 1940s. It officially opened its doors in May 1954. This beautiful church stands as a testament to the faith and community spirit of Itaberaba. Back then the neighborhood was quite different. Businesses grew around the church. There was even a foundry some potteries and distilleries.

Over the decades Itaberaba changed significantly. Transportation improved roads were upgraded. The commercial landscape diversified considerably. Other churches joined Paroquia Santo Antonio. Especially from the 1990s onwards more Evangelical churches were established in the area. However Paroquia Santo Antonio remains a cornerstone of the community. A place where people come together to celebrate their faith and connect with one another.

Father Edemilson Gonzaga De Camargo is the current parish priest. You can reach the church at 11 3921-6046. The church is open Saturdays from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 6pm.
