The central altar, crafted from Carrara marble, features a unique depiction of St. Therese. She stands with the Child Jesus, who leans against the Holy Face. From her apron, the child Therese gathers roses, scattering them to the world. White lilies and a shield adorned with her own Carmelite coat of arms rest at her feet. Interestingly, a Brazilian flag catches the falling flowers, a symbol of the church’s place in the heart of Brazil. From high above, rose petals rain down on the happy couple as they exchange vows, a truly magical touch.
