Established on December 16 2007 Paróquia de São Lucas is relatively young. Yet it has quickly become a significant part of the community in Embu das Artes. This is not the São Lucas in the eastern part of the city of São Paulo. This Paróquia de São Lucas is located on Estrada de Itapecerica a Campo Limpo 202.

The church celebrates its patron saints with two annual festivals. August 15 is dedicated to Nossa Senhora das Vitórias. October 18 honors São Lucas. These dates are important for the parish.

The parish office is open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday. You can reach them at (11) 4385-1266 for information.

Masses are held on Sundays at 9:00 AM 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM. There is also a mass on Thursdays at 8:00 PM. Confessions are heard on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on Fridays at 6:00 PM.

The Comunidade São Lucas organizes events like “Alegria pra Jesus”. This event includes music faith and lots of animation. It starts at the Igreja São Lucas in Nova Aurora. A trio elétrico leads the faithful through the streets. Bands like Deus é 10 Mater Groove and Novum Christus perform. This event is for all ages. It offers a fun faith-filled environment.

Paulo Henrique coordinator of Comunidade São Lucas says the event aims to show that the church is a place for joy. It is a place where joy doesn’t need to be from the “world”.
