Gazing upon Parafia Wieczerzy Pańskiej w Warszawie-Aleksandrowie, imagine its humble beginnings. The year was 1980. The vision began not as a grand church, but as a small chapel nestled beside the cemetery in Aleksandrów. The driving force behind this initial spark was Father Infułat Dr. Henryk Chudek. He was the parish priest of Falenica at the time. He saw a need and planted the seed for what would become this vibrant parish. The architectural design of Parafia Wieczerzy Pańskiej was brought to life by M. Nowicki and T. Wierzbą. Their collaboration shaped the very structure we see before us today. Years later, on January 29, 1992, the parish was officially established. Cardinal Józef Glemp, a pivotal figure in the Polish Catholic Church, led the dedication. Parafia Wieczerzy Pańskiej has seen a succession of dedicated leaders guide its congregation. The first priest to hold the title of parish priest was Father Mieczysław Nowak. He served from 1992 to 1997, laying the groundwork for the community. Father Jan Gastołek followed, leading the parish from 1997 to 2001. Next came Father Eugeniusz Lewandowski, who served as parish priest from 2001 to 2007. Father Tadeusz Regucki then stepped in, fulfilling the role from 2007 to 2009. Since September 2009, Father Wiesław Chrzyszcz has served as the parish priest of Parafia Wieczerzy Pańskiej. His leadership has continued to shape the parish. His passing five years ago marked a significant moment in the parish’s history. Even now, the community gathers to remember and honor his contributions.
