Parafia Świętego Jana Chrzciciela w Nadmie

On the southern edges of the Radzymin municipality lies the village of Nadma. Here, before you, stands the Parafia Świętego Jana Chrzciciela w Nadmie. This relatively young parish, established only in 2004 by Bishop Kazimierz Romaniuk, has a unique origin story. It all began in the summer of 2002 when a statue of Our Lady of Fatima visited the families of Nadma. This visit sparked a wave of gratitude among the villagers. They decided to express their thanks by funding a roadside cross on Czarna Street. The cross was then consecrated by Father Jan Andrzejewski, the parish priest of Świętej Trójcy w Kobyłce. This event marked a spiritual turning point for Nadma, a village once divided between two parishes. The idea of establishing an independent parish took root when Bishop Kazimierz Romaniuk visited Nadma for a school ceremony in 2002. He suggested the possibility, and the idea resonated with both Father Andrzejewski and the villagers. The subsequent efforts to find a suitable location for the church were guided by faith and divine intervention. Following Easter in 2003, Bishop Romaniuk, accompanied by Father Andrzejewski and the then Starost of Wołomin, Konrad Rytel, chose the site where Parafia Świętego Jana Chrzciciela w Nadmie now stands. This seemingly ordinary place became a testament to the power of faith and community. The construction of the church, a project that saw immense support from the villagers, further solidified its importance.
