Wondering how a parish finds its home? The story of Parafia Niepokalanego Pocz\u0119cia Naj\u015bwi\u0119tszej Maryi Panny on Wrzeciono is quite remarkable. This is a Roman Catholic parish in Warsaw. It is part of the Archdiocese of Warsaw.

Parafia Niepokalanego Pocz\u0119cia Naj\u015bwi\u0119tszej Maryi Panny was established on March 15 1980. Stefan Cardinal Wyszy\u0144ski founded it. He was the Primate of the Millennium. The parish was moved from Dewajtis 3 to Wrzeciono on September 8 1983. Bishop Kazimierz Romaniuk moved it. He also consecrated the chapel and the plot for the new church that day.

On May 30 1988 Cardinal J\u00f3zef Glemp consecrated the cornerstone. He laid it in the newly built church. From December 9-10 1989 Bishop Marian Du\u015b made a canonical visit to the Parish. He began celebrating sacraments in the lower church. On September 8 1990 Bishop W\u0142adys\u0142aw Mizio\u0142ek consecrated three bells. The entire church area was fenced. Work continued on the temple. The church roof was covered with sheet metal. The walls were plastered. Chandeliers, electrical installation, and sound system were installed. A statue of the Immaculate Mother of God was brought from Italy. It was placed in the main altar. The decoration of the side altars was completed. The sacristy was furnished. The floor was laid. Pews and confessionals were made. Finishing works were completed at the presbytery.

On September 8 1995 Cardinal J\u00f3zef Glemp consecrated the temple. Bishops and clergy assisted him. On September 16 1997 a steel structure for the church tower was installed.

The parish area includes these streets. They are Marymoncka Lindego Kasprowicza Nocznickiego and Dorycka. Streets within the Parish include Marymoncka and Dorycka. Also included are Parola Nocznickiego Wrzeciono Przy Agorze and Szegedy\u0144ska. Lindego Szubi\u0144ska Antyczna Frygijska Przytyk Kasprowicza and Gajcego are included as well.

The builder of the church was Fr. Prelate Marian Prus. Subsequent parish priests include: Fr. Dr. J\u00f3zef G\u00f3rzy\u0144ski now Ordinary of Warmia. Also Fr. Prelate Prof. Dr. Hab. Stanis\u0142aw Warzeszak and Fr. Prelate Dr. Marek Szymula. Currently Fr. Dr. Wojciech Janyga serves as parish priest.

Parafia Niepokalanego Pocz\u0119cia Naj\u015bwi\u0119tszej Maryi Panny continues its mission. It offers masses and sacraments. The parish also organizes events and pilgrimages. It remains a vital part of the Wrzeciono community.
