Pause for a moment and consider that this modern church stands thanks to the vision of dedicated individuals. This is Parafia Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy in Pruszkowie. It is a vital Roman Catholic community. The parish is part of the Pruszków deanery. This deanery belongs to the Archdiocese of Warsaw.

Parafia Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy was established in 1996. Cardinal Józef Glemp founded it. Initially masses were held in a simple temporary shelter. Services then moved to a chapel. This chapel was in the basement of the parish house. This arrangement lasted until December 2005. Since December 2006 worship takes place in a newly constructed church.

The present parish church was built between 1997 and 2006. It serves as a place of worship and a community hub. The architecture has classicist influences. Its interior layout is inspired by early Christian basilicas.

Ks. Maciej Szymański served as the parish’s first pastor from 1996 to 2006. He was succeeded by Ks. Jan Studziński. Ks. Studziński served from 2006 to 2017. Since July 2017, Ks. Mariusz Zapolski has been the pastor.

Ks. Mariusz Zapolski had a dream. He wanted a football pitch by the church. His dream came true here at Parafia Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy. In his first year, he organized a mini-league for altar servers. He even hosted a family tournament during the Family Festival in May 2018. Each team had to include a mother, father, and child.

Ks. Zapolski has a passion for football. He collects football jerseys. He also creates parish newspapers. In Pruszków, he publishes the magazine Madonna.

Several active groups enrich parish life. They include the Living Rosary. There are also the ministries of the Altar Servers and Lectors. The parish also has the Guard of Honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Nazarene Families. Moreover there is the Marian Apostolate and a Women’s ministry. The “Voice of the Father” community gathers fathers.

The image of Our Mother of Perpetual Help is in the main altar. It was painted by Professor Jerzy Nowosielski and Professor Marek Radomski. The parish serves around 4,500 to 5,000 people.
