After 1989 Father Józef Maj initiated the effort. He was the parish priest of St. Catherine’s. He wanted to establish a new parish and build a church in Wolica.

Bishop Marian Duś consecrated the site. This happened on October 24 1999. It was for the construction of a chapel. Administrative issues significantly slowed progress. Construction finally began in May 2001.

Cardinal Józef Glemp consecrated the new church. This happened on November 16 2001. He was the Primate of Poland. On December 1 2001 the parish was officially established. It was dedicated to Blessed Edmund Bojanowski.

The office is open after morning and evening masses. These masses are held on Monday Wednesday Thursday Friday and Saturday.

Confession is available during every Mass. On the first Thursday of the month confession is available until 10 PM.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place every Thursday. It follows the evening Mass until 7:30 PM. On the first Thursday of the month all-night adoration begins after the evening Mass.

Currently Father Adam Zelga serves as the parish priest. He has been in this role since 2001.

The church celebrates its patron saint. The feast day of Blessed Edmund Bojanowski is November 16. The parish also celebrates the Ascension of the Lord.
