Opened in 1999, PalaTrieste stands as a testament to Trieste’s sporting spirit. This indoor arena, officially known as Palazzo dello sport Cesare Rubini, is more than just a building. It’s the vibrant heart of basketball in Trieste, home to the Pallacanestro Trieste team. PalaTrieste boasts a seating capacity of 6,943, a figure that speaks to its importance in the city’s sporting landscape. In 2015, Allianz became the team’s top sponsor. This partnership marked a new era for both the team and PalaTrieste. The arena, now also known as Allianz Dome for sponsorship reasons, saw significant upgrades. In 2017, a brand new, NBA-quality parquet court was installed, thanks to Allianz. A year later, the Allianz Wall, a cutting-edge scoreboard with four mega-screens, was unveiled, further enhancing the spectator experience. PalaTrieste isn’t just about basketball. It has hosted a variety of events, from concerts to volleyball matches, solidifying its role as a multi-purpose venue. The arena offers a complete experience, with a multi-level covered parking, a baby parking facility, and engaging half-time shows. PalaTrieste, the Allianz Dome, is more than just an arena. It’s a symbol of Trieste’s passion for sport and a testament to the power of partnership and innovation.
