Pak Fu Tin Campsite is embraced by woodland and the soothing sounds of flowing streams. Even on the hottest days, a pleasant breeze whispers through the trees. The campsite isn’t large. It has space for about 20 tents. You’ll find essential amenities here, including barbecue pits, tables, benches, drains, and clotheslines. While the water source is a stream, remember that the supply can be seasonal. It’s always best to bring your own water or purification tablets. The views from Pak Fu Tin Campsite are breathtaking. Overlooking Chi Ma Wan, the shady picnic tables offer a perfect spot to relax and soak in the scenery. Mui Wo Valley, surrounded by mountain ranges and a wok-shaped flatland, adds to the charm. Five villages dot the valley, resembling a five-petal plum blossom. To reach Pak Fu Tin Campsite, you can take Bus 3M from Tung Chung Town Centre or any bus going past Nam Shan from Mui Wo. Get off at the Nam Shan stop near a barbecue site. From there, a half-hour hike up the trail will lead you to this hidden gem. Alternatively, you can walk from Mui Wo, following the signposts toward the Nam Shan Barbecue site. This scenic walk will take you approximately an hour.
