“Many Christian churches exist in Hong Kong,” some say. Locating them in Shenzhen can be challenging. However, numerous “Unregistered” churches exist. Only a few offer bilingual services.

Today, we explore some main churches. We learn about their Sunday mass times. Note that all main churches have full Christmas schedules. While Our Lady of the Rosary Church isn’t mentioned here, other churches offer insight into religious life.

Let’s consider St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Many foreigners prefer it. Locals call it “New Church.” St. Anthony’s offers an English Mass for Catholics every Sunday at 11:30 am. You can find St Anthony’s Church at No. 65, Nonglin Road, Futian District, Shenzhen. It sits on the west side of Nonglin Lu. It lies between the Chegongmiao and Zhuzilin subway stops. It’s about 1 kilometer north of Shennan Road.

Besides St. Anthony’s, a Chinese parish exists in Nantou. It’s called St. Paul’s. They have Mass every Sunday at 9 am. The service is in Mandarin. Finding the church can be difficult. However, it’s near the Nantou Security Bureau and Zhongshan Park.

Shekou International School also offers English-language services. It’s in the Jingshan Villas neighborhood of Shekou. A priest from Hong Kong visits. They celebrate mass on the first, third, and fifth Sundays of the month. A lay-led communion service is offered on the second and fourth Sundays. The services start at 3:30 pm.

Consider Nantou Catholic Church. It was founded in 1931. It was the first Catholic Church in Shenzhen. An English mass is available from 8.30pm on Sundays. You’ll find Nantou Catholic Church at No.210, Chaoyang Bei Road, Shenzhen. Take bus numbers 201, 301, 305, 310, and 355 to get there. Or take the metro to Zongshan Park.
