Oak Chapel inherited its name from the grove of oak trees that surround the original chapel. It was built in 1886. Since then, Oak Chapel has served its community.

Oak Chapel is located in the Aspen Hills area of Silver Spring, Maryland. Over time, two additions have been added to the grounds. An education building houses a year-round daycare center. Boyer Hall includes a multi-purpose area, classrooms, and a parlor. Worship services now take place in Boyer Hall every Sunday at 10 AM.

As United Methodists, Oak Chapel embraces a powerful mission. They strive to make disciples of Jesus Christ. The goal is transformation of the world. This vision comes to life through celebrating, connecting, and caring.
