At Northside Church, we focus on three key areas: following, encountering, and overflowing. We believe genuine change is possible through Jesus. This journey of discipleship is the foundation of everything we do. Northside Church has resources to help individuals and groups experience this transformation.
We believe a relationship with God through Jesus is essential. It’s a daily practice that we create space for. Our Sunday services are designed to foster growth in this relationship with Jesus. We want to see people encountering God.
Life with God naturally overflows into the world around us. It is a life of service inspired by Jesus’ example. Northside Church provides resources and pathways to give back in meaningful ways. We want to see people overflowing with life, impacting the world around us.
Northside Church values openness in all aspects of life. This includes listening to God and to each other. We also value listening to those we may not understand. We need time with Scripture and with each other to achieve this openness.
Learning is another core value at Northside Church. We strive to be shaped by Jesus in the way we think. We embrace both our beliefs and our doubts. We encourage everyone to curiously consider important questions in life.
Love shapes how we interact with God and with each other. Communal worship through prayer, singing, and service is important to us. We invite you to participate in the dance of the Trinity.
Our ultimate confidence lies in God. We approach God with confidence. We give up our desire to control God. We approach each other with confidence. We release systems and power. We let go of agendas of control. We approach creation with confidence. We give up our desire to own and rule it.
Northside Church is a member of Churches of Christ NSW also referred to as FRESH HOPE Churches. We are honoured to be part of a family of churches that have a mission to be communities of Fresh Hope that work together to see the Kingdom of God established.
We believe in one God revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This Trinity lives in perfect community. There is no authority structure. They each point to and actively work for the good of the other.
The Kingdom of God is where God’s will is done. Jesus will eventually bring all things and all people to live in this Kingdom. The Kingdom of God has always been, is present, and has an unending future. People are made in God’s image, regardless of background. God is in the business of restoring souls.
We acknowledge and respect the Cammeraygal people. They are the original owners and custodians of the land Northside Church is on. We strive to honor their heritage and their connection to this place.
