North Chevy Chase Christian Church is an Open and Affirming congregation. This means all are welcome. Full membership participation and leadership are offered to all. This extends to persons of every color ethnicity language culture and nationality. Age sexual orientation gender identity physical and mental ability economic status familial status and spiritual background are all embraced.
The church motto is Connecting Faith to Community. Through outreach service and social justice activities they strive to make a difference. They help poor and marginalized people in Montgomery County Maryland. North Chevy Chase Christian Church also participates in the Christian Church Capital Area Region. They also support the Christian Church Disciples Mission Fund. This fund supports over 70 missions throughout the United States and the world.

The church seeks to support and affirm everyone in their spiritual journeys. They seek to live as agents of healing and wholeness in a fragmented world. The Prayer Group meets virtually via Zoom each Tuesday at 1000 a.m. Contact the Church Office to get connected. The newly renovated Harlow Hall and kitchen allow you to cater events with ease. Several spaces can be used as offices or studios. Complete the Building Application form if you’re interested in holding an event.
The Church Office is open Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 900 a.m. to 300 p.m. If you have a pastoral emergency contact Rev Stephen Tickner.
Worship begins at 1100 a.m. on Sundays and lasts about an hour. There is a concurrent multi-age class for children Kindergarten through 5th grade. A nursery is available for infants through Pre-Kindergarten. Hearing assistance devices are also available.
The music is considered traditional. Hymns of the heritage are used. Diverse genres of musical offerings range from jazz to classical modern to Taize. Both piano and organ accompany congregational hymns.
The labyrinth offers a place to awaken your spirituality. Simplify your hectic life. Integrate mind body and spirit. Engage in self-reflection. Forge a connection with the community.
