Can a church be both new and born again? The New Born Church of God and True Holiness embodies this intriguing paradox. Here, at this very spot, two congregations, the New Born Church of God and True Holiness and the Lighthouse Church of the Apostolic Faith, converged. In 1992, they merged, creating the New Born Lighthouse Church of the Apostolic Faith, Incorporated. This union marks a significant chapter in the story of the New Born Church of God and True Holiness. The original organization, Churches of God and True Holiness, was established back in December 1927 by Bishop John Wesley Garlington, Sr. Bishop Garlington envisioned a fellowship dedicated to winning souls, promoting apostolic doctrine, and fostering a life of holiness. From its humble beginnings, the church expanded rapidly, establishing locations across numerous states including Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, Delaware, and South Carolina. The New Born Church of God and True Holiness carries this legacy forward. It represents not just a place of worship, but a testament to the vision of its founder and the enduring power of faith.
