Motor Transport Institute

In 1951, the Minister of Road and Air Transport decreed the creation of a vital institution. This institution was the Motor Transport Institute (MTI). Located at 80 Jagiellonska Street in Warsaw, the Motor Transport Institute houses the Road Traffic Safety Centre. This center plays a critical role in collecting and analyzing data on road accidents. It contributes to national and international databases. This work helps to inform road safety policies and strategies. The Motor Transport Institute celebrated its 70th anniversary at the Copernicus Science Center. This event highlighted the institute’s significant contributions to Polish transport. The institute’s director, Professor Marcin Ślęzak, emphasized the Motor Transport Institute’s enduring importance. He underscored its role in shaping the Polish transport sector.
