Doesn’t that amphitheater at Morse Park No. 4 look inviting? It’s a hub for culture. Morse Park is actually made up of four distinct parks. We’re standing in No. 4.

Morse Park is the largest park in Wong Tai Sin District. It spans about 16 hectares. That’s quite a green lung in this urban environment.

Morse Park No. 4 sits on the west side of Fung Mo Street. It lies between Tung Tau Tsuen Road and Heng Lam Street. This location makes it easily accessible.

This park is more than just a green space. Morse Park provides many leisure facilities. You can find sports areas and gardens here.

Morse Park Sports Centre and a swimming pool are nearby. There are also soccer pitches. They have both artificial turf and hard surfaces. You can find gateball courts with natural turf. Basketball and tennis courts are available. For those inclined, there is even a skateboard ground. Elderly fitness corners dot the landscape. Children’s playgrounds offer fun for the little ones.

Park Nos. 1, 2, and 3 each have their own theme. Park No. 1 features a Tai Chi garden. Park No. 2 boasts a Palm Garden. Park No. 3 has a Butterfly Corner. Morse Park No. 4 is home to the amphitheater. It’s a popular place for cultural events. Community events also happen here regularly.

If you visit Park No. 2, check out the Wong Tai Sin Cultural Garden. It embraces Chinese culture. The park entrance has a Main Square. It is Western-style. There is also a Chinese-style stage. These contrast each other nicely. The Tai Chi Square is at the Tai Tung Street entrance. It features symbols of the Eight Trigrams. The Chess Garden displays the Tai Chi logo.

The entrances are designed with meaning. One is square. The other is round. They represent the ancient Chinese concept of a dome-like firmament. This covers the square earth. The open area is shaped like the Chinese character for “human beings”. It represents the unity of sky, earth, and human beings. This reflects traditional Chinese culture.

Morse Park is open to all. The outdoor facilities are open 24 hours daily. Wong Tai Sin Cultural Garden is open from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm. The amphitheater here at Morse Park No. 4 is open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. Admission is free.

Morse Park truly offers something for everyone. It is a place for recreation. It is a place for cultural immersion. It’s a place for community engagement. Take a moment to appreciate this space.
