Ninety-eight steps. That’s how many it takes to reach the top of the Model rozhledny Doubravka Tower. This isn’t just any tower. It’s a testament to modern Czech ingenuity. It stands proudly in Prague 14 a three-sided pyramid of acacia wood.
The Doubravka Tower isn’t just a structure; it’s an experience. Professor Ing. Martin Rajniš and his team at Hut Architecture envisioned a unique design. They used over seven kilometers of acacia wood. Oak and larch wood add to its beauty. Steel components ensure stability. The result is breathtaking. A 23.5 meter tall masterpiece.
The tower’s unusual shape is striking. Its three legs reach for the sky. Each step upwards offers a different perspective on the surrounding forest. The climb is a journey. It’s worth every step. Think about the construction. Four cranes were needed to build this wonder. Two LTM 1030/2 cranes. One LTM 1055-3.1 crane. And finally one LTM 1060/2 crane. They lifted the enormous amount of timber. This perfectly illustrates the scale of this project.
The tower’s construction cost 3 million Czech crowns. Landia Management invested this considerable sum. The Prague 14 municipality also contributed. It was a collaborative effort. It showcases the community spirit. A gift to the people of Prague.
