This church is known for music events. It has spread to many countries. These include Angola Argentina and Canada. You can also find it in Chile and the United States. It is present in France and England too. Ministério Verbo Vivo also has churches in Mozambique and Paraguay. They reach to Portugal Sweden Switzerland and Uruguay.
Ministério Verbo Vivo is a Pentecostal denomination. It believes in the fall of man through sin. It emphasizes the need for redemption. The church believes in the resurrection and hell. Ministério Verbo Vivo values the knowledge of the Word of Faith. They encourage abstinence before marriage.
The Ministério Verbo Vivo oversees an interdenominational school. It is called Centro de Treinamento Bíblico Rhema. This center trains ministers theologically. It also has schools for missions and ministers. André Valadão a singer and pastor is a former student. He now pastors at Igreja Batista da Lagoinha.
In 2014 the Igreja Presbiteriana do Brasil did something significant. They declared they didn’t recognize Ministério Verbo Vivo. They said it was not a sister church. They alleged it preached prosperity theology. They only accept members from Ministério Verbo Vivo. They do this through baptism and profession of faith. This is how they receive new members from non evangelical religions.
In 2022 Wellington Carneiro ran for Governor of Pernambuco. He was affiliated with Ministério Verbo Vivo. He represented the Partido Trabalhista Brasileiro.

Cell groups meet during the week for fellowship. They pray worship and share the Word. These cells help fulfill the church’s mission.
