Located in Unhošť, west of Prague, Melicharovo muzeum sits inside the former town hall. The museum is named after František Melichar. He was a local teacher.
Melichar collected items around Unhošť. He displayed part of his collection at the school. It was for the Czechoslovak Ethnographic Exhibition in Prague in 1895. In 1912, the town allocated a room in the town hall for the exhibit. This was the start of Melicharovo muzeum.
Inside Melicharovo muzeum, you can explore many artifacts. The collections feature archaeological finds. These finds come from Unhošť and the surrounding region. You will also see guild relics.
