Located at 166 Wiertnicza Street, the Media Business Center stands as a testament to Warsaw’s modern media landscape. Have you ever wondered what goes on inside this impressive building? It is more than just an office block. It is a hub of creativity and information.
The Media Business Center is the headquarters of the TVN Group. Many of their subsidiaries also call this place home. Built in 2002, the Media Business Center has quickly become a landmark in the Sadyba district. This area straddles the administrative border of Mokotów and Wilanów.
Inside the Media Business Center are two bustling newsrooms. The upper newsroom is on the first floor. It is where TVN’s flagship news program Fakty is produced and broadcast. Most of TVN24’s programs also originate from here. The lower newsroom, on the ground floor, serves as the editorial office for TVN24 Biznes i Świat. Sometimes, it becomes a reserve or weekend studio for TVN24.
But the Media Business Center is not just about news. All weather services provided by TVN Meteo are based here. Several programs from other TVN Group channels are produced here too. You might even catch a glimpse of the TVN Turbo Report being filmed.
Before the Media Business Center was built, the ITI Group companies had already established buildings nearby on Augustówka Street. These were the first headquarters of TVN. These buildings are still in use today. The proximity of these earlier facilities highlights the growth and evolution of TVN.
The Media Business Center itself is a substantial structure. It boasts an area of 31000 square meters. The building has seven overground storeys. There are also two underground storeys. It is not just big. It is smart. In 2003, it won the “Most Intelligent Building of the Year” award.
The Media Business Center offers approximately 13500 square meters of modern office space for rent. This space is distributed over seven above-ground levels. High standards of finish and ample glazing ensure optimum interior lighting. This creates comfortable working conditions. Tenants have access to about 350 underground parking spaces.
Getting to the Media Business Center is easy. Its location on Wisłostrada provides convenient access to the city center. It is also easy to reach the north of Warsaw. The nearby S2 express route facilitates efficient connections to the right bank districts. A drive to the Central Station takes about 25 minutes. Warsaw Chopin Airport is approximately 30 minutes away. Several bus stops are nearby. These include Wiertnicza 03, Wiertnicza 01, and Sadyba 07.
In 2016, a competition was held to redesign the main entrance area of the Media Business Center. The goal was to create a new identity. The previous design was strongly associated with the former owner of TVN, the ITI Group. This redesign aimed to mark a new chapter for the Media Business Center and TVN.
So, as we stand here in front of the Media Business Center, remember that it is more than just a building. It is a dynamic hub of media production. It is a place where news is made, weather is reported, and entertainment is created. It is a vital part of Warsaw’s vibrant media landscape.
