Perched on the cliffs overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, these cabins offer a unique blend of rustic charm and natural beauty. Matoaka Beach Cabins has a rich history intertwined with the local community. It has served as a tranquil escape for generations of visitors seeking respite from city life.
The cabins themselves exude a rustic simplicity. They’re equipped with essential amenities. These include electricity, kitchens, and private bathrooms. Don’t expect luxury. Think “rustic glamping”. Pack your bedding, towels, kitchen utensils, and even charcoal for the grill. This is part of the Matoaka Beach Cabins experience. The cabins are available for rent from mid-April to early November. There’s a two-night minimum stay. You can only check in on Mondays or Fridays between 4 pm and 8 pm.
Day visitors are welcome too. Matoaka Beach is open daily from 8 am to 8 pm for a fee of $10 per person. Children aged five and under are free. Keep in mind, it’s cash only. While cabin guests have 24/7 beach access, day-trippers must adhere to the set hours.
The beach at Matoaka Beach Cabins is a haven for fossil hunters.
