Marks Park boasts a rich history. It was designated a Military Reserve in 1885. Waverley Council leased the land in 1929. The park was named after a local Minister of Parliament. He secured the lease. In the 1950s and 1980s the headland was reshaped. It became the flat grassy area we see today.
