“Ever wondered what secrets the Mannakee Building holds?” It’s more than just bricks and mortar. It is part of Montgomery College’s Rockville Campus.
The Mannakee Building plays a vital role in this educational hub. It serves approximately 15000 students each semester. The Rockville Campus is Montgomery College’s largest. It is its most comprehensive campus.
Within the Mannakee Building, you will find the Center for Training Excellence. It also houses the ignITe Hub.
Navigating to the Mannakee Building is quite straightforward. If you are driving from the north take I-270 South to Exit 6 for Route 28. Take Exit 6A east. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Nelson Street. Then turn left again at the first traffic light. This is Mannakee Street. The campus appears one and a half blocks on the left.
Coming from the south take I-495 to I-270 North. Then take exit 6A. This is Route 28. Follow the Montgomery College sign through the traffic light. The road then becomes Nelson Street. Turn left at the Mannakee Street traffic light. The campus is one and a half blocks on the left.
For those using public transport take the Red Line train to Rockville station. Transfer to Metrobus Q2. Alternatively, take Ride On bus 46 or 55. Get off at the campus bus stop. It is located at the corner of West and South Campus Drive.
Parking on campus requires a valid Montgomery College permit. However visitor permits are available. You can obtain them from Raptor Central. Raptor Central is in SB101 and MK 105. They are also available from the Office of Safety and Security. The office is in CB 101.
