In 1984, Macarthur Anglican School opened its doors to 90 students. These pioneers began their journey at Macarthur in Years 7 and 8. Macarthur Anglican School saw its first graduating class complete their Higher School Certificate in 1988. Originally, the school was housed in temporary facilities in Campbelltown. It later moved to a 5-acre site in Narellan, next to St. Thomas’ Anglican Church. During this initial year, the staff consisted of five teachers and one secretary. The current Headmaster, Mr. Riley Warren, joined Macarthur Anglican School in 1989. The student population was approaching 500 at the time. A Junior School was established at Macarthur Anglican School in 1993 with 60 students. It was led by Mrs. Andrew McPhail. Today, Macarthur Anglican School sits on 85 acres in Cobbitty, South West Sydney. The school caters to students from pre-kindergarten to Year 12. It aims to nurture each student’s God-given potential. Macarthur Anglican School provides a wide range of educational programs and co-curricular activities. A strong academic focus is at the heart of the Macarthur experience. The school strives to develop critical thinking skills and foster a love of learning. Macarthur Anglican School’s crest reflects its Christian foundation. The crest features the cross, the Word of God, and three crowns. The crowns represent the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The school’s motto, “Through Christ Alone,” underscores its core values.
