In 1831 a land grant established Londonderry. This unassuming suburb of Greater Western Sydney has a rich history. It’s located 60 kilometers northwest of the Sydney central business district. The area falls under the City of Penrith’s local government. Londonderry’s name comes from a 12-hectare land grant to Thomas Kendall.
