Their vision took root at 13th and Ingraham Street, NW, officially becoming Little Mount Zion Baptist Church later that year. Growth spurred a move to 4904 Georgia Avenue, NW, and just a year later, on Easter Sunday 1969, the congregation marched triumphantly to its current location at 5101 14th Street, NW. Under Reverend Carroll’s guidance, Little Mount Zion Holiness Church of God flourished. Numerous ministries were established. The church building itself became a symbol of the congregation’s growth and dedication. Reverend Carroll’s legacy of service and compassion touched countless lives until his passing in 1975. Little Mount Zion Holiness Church of God has continued its journey of faith under the leadership of Reverend Eugene M. Pearson and later, Reverend John W. Davis. Reverend Davis led the church through a period of significant transformation, including a major renovation that added new facilities and enhanced the existing structure. His vision and commitment have helped Little Mount Zion Holiness Church of God to remain a vibrant spiritual home for its community. Little Mount Zion Holiness Church of God’s story is one of resilience, growth, and unwavering faith. It stands as a beacon of hope.
