“Leaky” tiki poles? The Liki Tikis are not just some ordinary statues. They are so much more.

Welcome to the Liki Tikis of Hong Kong Disneyland. These tikis may seem familiar. That’s because they are inspired by similar tikis in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. However, in Hong Kong Disneyland, the Liki Tikis are formally listed as an attraction.

Originally, the Liki Tikis appeared in the Magic Kingdom in 1971. They were simple, oversized wooden Tiki-styled pate drums. Imagineer Marc Davis designed them for photo opportunities. Around 1973, the tikis were moved near the Jungle Cruise dock. In the 1990s, the wooden drums were replaced with fiberglass replicas. These replicas spray water and mist. People began calling them the Liki Tikis.

Hong Kong Disneyland adopted these new Liki Tikis. Because the park was small at opening, they became an official attraction. The Liki Tikis also served as a water feature. This was important because the park’s design was based on feng shui principles.

Today, the Liki Tikis offer a Polynesian-inspired water-play area. Adults and kids can relax and cool off here. It is a break from the excitement of Adventureland.

You’ll find the Liki Tikis across from the Jungle River Cruise. Stand among the towering totems. Feel the mist and spray of water when you least expect it. The mischievous tiki gods are known for their playful water antics.

Nearby, you can also find an area filled with tribal drums. Guests are invited to pound out their own rhythms. Create some boisterous beats.

The Liki Tikis are a sacred gathering of weathered, wooden faces. The drumming of the Ancients echoes through an ethereal fog. They are a unique blend of relaxation and playful surprise.

So, take a moment to enjoy this unique attraction. Let the Liki Tikis refresh you. Embrace the spirit of Adventureland. The Liki Tikis offer a memorable experience for everyone. They embody the magic of Hong Kong Disneyland.
