Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School was established in 1975. It stands in the heart of the Tsuen Wan District.
Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School is more than just a school. It is a vibrant community. The Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong runs the school. It welcomes both boys and girls. Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School operates as a full-day primary school.
Back in 1975 Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School opened. This coincided with the development of Lei Muk Shue Estate. It was among the first schools of its kind. The school was known as a ‘firewood box’ school. This is because of its unique design. It was one of the first three schools with six stories. This excludes the underground level.
Huang Xinming was the school’s first principal. At first, Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School only offered morning classes. These classes ranged from Primary One to Five. The following year, Primary Six was added.
The first class of morning school students graduated in 1977. One notable graduate was Leung Cheuk-man. He later became the Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene. That same year an afternoon school was established. Ms. Gao Huiming was the first principal of the afternoon school. The first graduates from the afternoon school finished in 1979.
Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School underwent renovations in 1997. An eight-story building was added. The new wing opened in 1998. In the late 1990s, the school transitioned to a full-day schedule. This aligned with Hong Kong’s educational reforms. By the 2002-03 academic year, the transition was complete. The first full-day students graduated in June 2003.
Today Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School continues its mission. It upholds the Catholic educational ideals. It promotes the Gospel spirit through holistic education. The school aims to enlighten students with faith. It helps them recognize the values of love and life. Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School wants to build a positive outlook. It encourages students to love God and their neighbors. The school provides a supportive learning environment. This allows students to learn happily and comfortably.

Li Jiarong serves as the current school supervisor. Chen Baoyi is the principal of Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School. Chen Rongjie and Liu Weiqi are the vice-principals. Around 600 students attend the school. They are divided into 24 classes.
The school has several internal organizations. These include the Legal Advisory Board and the Parent-Teacher Association. The Alumni Association was founded on July 14, 2007. Mr. Li Boming was the first chairman. The current chairman is Mr. Peng Zhencong. Mr. Xu Jia誠is the chairman of the Supervisory Committee.
Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School maintains external connections. It is twinned with Guangzhou City Bridge North Primary School. Together they promote educational exchange. This fosters cooperation between the two regions. The school also has ties with several secondary schools. These include Changsha Wan Catholic English Secondary School. Others are Catholic Guo De Sheng Middle School and Tsuen Wan Sheng Fang濟 Middle School.
Several notable alumni have walked the halls of Lei Muk Shue Catholic Primary School. Leung Cheuk Man is one. Gao Haoran is another. He serves as the President of Zongheng Group.
