Imagine stepping into a world where artistry meets eternity at Le Fabergé Columbarium. This is no ordinary memorial. It’s a tribute to the legacy of Fabergé, a name synonymous with exquisite craftsmanship. Are you ready to discover its unique story?

Le Fabergé Columbarium connects Hong Kong to the esteemed House of Fabergé. The Fabergé family’s story began in 17th-century France. Religious persecution forced them to flee. They were known as the Favris then.

As they moved across Europe, their name evolved. Favri became Fabry and eventually Faberge. In the 1830s, Gustav Faberge trained as a goldsmith in St. Petersburg. He became a Master Goldsmith in 1841.

In 1842, Gustav Fabergé opened his own jewelry store. He may have added the accent to “Fabergé” to appeal to the Russian nobility. French was the language of the Russian court. The upper class associated France with luxury.

His son, Carl Fabergé, took over the firm in 1872. Carl’s brother, Agathon, joined later. Agathon’s designs brought fresh creativity to the business.

The House of Fabergé rose to prominence through exquisite artistry. Tsar Alexander III admired Fabergé’s craftsmanship so much. The Tsar ordered Fabergé’s work to be displayed in the Hermitage Museum. In 1885, Fabergé became “Goldsmith by special appointment to the Imperial Crown.”

The Imperial Easter eggs are Fabergé’s most famous creations. The Tsar commissioned Fabergé to make an egg for his wife every Easter. Each egg contained a surprise. The House of Fabergé created 50 Imperial eggs. Today, 43 of these eggs still exist.

Fabergé also created miniature hardstone sculptures. Animals, people, and flowers were carved from precious stones. These tiny figures were collected worldwide. The British Royal family owns over 250 Fabergé items.

Le Fabergé Columbarium echoes this legacy of artistry. It’s a serene space where intricate design meets profound respect. The Fabergé name signifies enduring beauty and meticulous detail.

Even after the Russian Revolution nationalized the House of Fabergé in 1918, the Fabergé family continued the business. They opened Fabergé & Cie in Paris in 1924. They marked their pieces FABERGÉ, PARIS.

The Fabergé brand has changed hands many times since then. Today, Fabergé Limited focuses solely on jewelry and gemstones.

So, as we stand here at Le Fabergé Columbarium remember the rich history behind the name. It’s a story of artistry, resilience, and enduring legacy. This columbarium carries that story forward. It provides a peaceful place for remembrance.
