This sanctuary, nestled on Mona Vale Road in St Ives, wasn’t always a riot of color. Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden began as a vision in 1968. A vision to create a haven for native Australian flora and fauna. Now, Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden boasts over 550 plant species. Some are local, while others hail from far corners of the continent. Among them are 18 threatened species. Ku-ring-gai Wildflower Garden offers a variety of experiences. Six walking trails wind through the bushland. From the easy Banks Track, perfect for spotting frogs and turtles, to the challenging Mueller Track, culminating at Phantom Falls and Billy’s Bridge, there’s a path for everyone. The Senses Track, accessible to all, offers a gentle introduction to the garden’s wonders. Children will love the playground at Lambert’s Clearing picnic area. The Fern House, with its collection of over 30 fern species, is another must-see. At the Visitor Centre, you can learn about the garden’s history. Grab a map. Discover the diverse flora and fauna.
