Świętej Matki Teresy z Kalkuty, a relatively new addition to the religious landscape of Poland. Established in 2006, this church stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of Mother Teresa. It was during the papacy of Pope John Paul II, a fellow Pole who admired Mother Teresa’s work. The church’s construction, spanning from 2007 to 2013, reflects a modern architectural style. The consecration ceremony, a grand event, took place on October 21st, 2017 officiated by Archbishop Stanisław Budzik. But there’s more to this church than its recent history. In 2021, it received a very special gift: first-class relics of Mother Teresa herself. This act solidified the church’s connection to this iconic figure of compassion and service. Adding another layer of artistry, the creation of polychrome in the presbytery began in 2021. These vibrant murals, blessed by Archbishop Budzik in January 2022, enhance the spiritual atmosphere of the space. Kościół pw. Świętej Matki Teresy z Kalkuty stands not just as a place of worship, but as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the power of selfless dedication.
