The parish of Kościół pw. Posłania Uczniów Pańskich was established in 2006. Józef Cardinal Glemp, Primate of Poland, created it. Father Prelate Bogusław Bijak initiated the church’s construction. He was a longtime parish priest and dean of Wilanów.
Currently under construction, Kościół pw. Posłania Uczniów Pańskich holds services in a temporary chapel. You can find this chapel at ul. Bruzdowa 11 in Warsaw. Father Paweł Bijak is the first parish priest. He is also the builder of the church since 2013.
The Kościół pw. Posłania Uczniów Pańskich design comes from APP Polska Architectural Team. It features a Latin cross plan. A signature adorns the church. Its simplicity evokes medieval Franciscan and Cistercian churches. The church blends into the Vistula landscape. It will tower over the surrounding houses.
Around Kościół pw. Posłania Uczniów Pańskich, a Stations of the Cross is planned in a circle. A public square will be in front of it. A functional parking area will run alongside.
Inside Kościół pw. Posłania Uczniów Pańskich, you will find three naves. The presbytery includes a tabernacle. A symmetrically accented ambo and baptistery refer to the mission. This mission emphasizes teaching and administering Holy Baptism. A Franciscan cross from San Damiano hangs at the intersection.
