“A church younger than me?” a young woman once scoffed, standing before the Kościół parafialny pw. św. Antoniego Marii Zaccarii. It’s true, this church, a beacon of faith on the historic Royal Route of Warsaw, might seem youthful compared to its centuries-old neighbors. Established in 1995, the parish itself predates the completion of the church building, which was erected between 1999 and 2003. This makes it the seventh church to grace this historic route, a testament to the enduring spirit of faith in this vibrant city. What makes this church unique is that it’s the first in Poland entrusted to the care of the Barnabite Fathers. This Catholic religious order, founded in 1530, has a rich history dedicated to education and cultural pursuits, particularly in Italy.
