Imagine the echoes of The Kills concert from 2005 still resonating within these walls. Now, KOBO Art Space thrives as a hub for creativity. The remnants of the past are still visible. The original showroom floor peeks through in places. The black lacquered ceiling from the Abart club days adds a touch of rock-and-roll history. The transformation was a labor of love. Artists, photographers, and architects collaborated to create this unique space. They stripped away layers to reveal the building’s history. They sanded the old ceramic floor, revealing a beautiful patina. They added warm timber elements to contrast with the black ceiling, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
