The Church of Christ in China Kei Wan Primary School is located in Aldrich Bay. Its address is 39 Oi Shun Road, Shaukeiwan, Hong Kong. The school’s predecessor was the C.C.C. Kei Wan Primary School. It was founded in 1970.

In 2002 the school moved. It went to a new campus in Aldrich Bay. At that time it became a full-day school. The school was renamed C.C.C. Kei Wan Primary School.

Kei Wan Primary School has a good reputation. It values students’ learning and behavior. Music and sports are also important. The school wants its students to develop in all areas.

There are currently six grades at Kei Wan Primary School. These range from Primary One to Primary Six. There are 24 classes in total. Around 650 students attend the school.

The school added the “Hall of Faith Hope and Love”. This happened in 2015. It provides more activity space for students. In 2020 an activity room was added. There is also a covered playground. Air conditioning was installed. This creates a better space for students. They can enjoy activities in all weather.

Several people have served as supervisors. These include Mr. Wong Shing Wing and Mr. Yip Kwok Yan. Many principals have led the school. Ms. Au Yeung Wai Kam was a principal. So was Ms. Helen Yim. Ms. Chan Sweet Mei also served as principal. From 1997 to 2017, Ms. Lau Wai Ming was principal. The current principal is Dr. Wong Ching Sze. She began in 2017.

“Discern the Way. Practice Self-Discipline” is the school motto. The school also has a school song. It is called “Sunrise”. Fan Wai Kwan composed the music and wrote the lyrics.

Kei Wan Primary School has many facilities. There are 24 classrooms. The school has ten music rooms and two halls. Students enjoy three playgrounds. There are also two climbing walls. The library has many books. Students can play on the ball court. There is a visual arts room. The school also has an AI room. There is a ballet dance room. A multi-purpose learning room is available. The school provides a laboratory. There is also a spiritual cultivation room. A music resource room is available. The school has an English room. It also has a history resource room. Students can visit the butterfly garden. They can learn in the hydroponic planting field.

To strengthen bonds, the school uses a house system. Upper-grade students are divided into four houses. These are Faith, Hope, Love and Virtue. The houses compete in various activities. Lower-grade students were included in 2020. This strengthens interaction across grades.

Kei Wan Primary School offers many subjects. These include Chinese and English. Students study mathematics and general knowledge. They also learn visual arts and music. The Bible is a subject. Physical education is important. Students learn Putonghua. Library lessons are provided. Information technology is taught. Life education is included in the curriculum. Guidance and counseling are available.
