A new house was built on that same site in 1917, though both buildings are now gone.
After years of searching for the perfect setting, the community finally decided to build a new sports complex in Källbrink in 1978. This marked a significant shift in the landscape of the area, transforming the land from a quiet rural setting to a vibrant sports hub. On May 22, 1982, the official inauguration ceremony was held, witnessing the creation of Källbrinks idrottsplats, a name synonymous with the passion for sports in the area.
The sports complex is a dynamic space, home to Huddinge IF, Spårvägen cykel, Snättringe SK, and Huddinge AIS. With seven courts, four indoors and three outdoors, and over 900 members, it is one of Sweden’s largest tennis clubs.
