Craving knowledge? Ka Chi Secondary School awaits. It is more than just a school. It is a place with a rich history and a commitment to its students.

Ka Chi Secondary School started humbly. In 1954, missionaries Miss Pardo and Miss McLeod arrived in Hong Kong. They wanted to provide education to children who lacked opportunities. So they established Ka Chi Kindergarten and Primary School in Shek Kip Mei Village.

The school flourished due to the missionaries’ hard work. In 1971, Ka Chi moved to a larger building on Wai Chi Street. It expanded into a secondary school. The student population grew to nearly one thousand.

A significant milestone came in 1982. Ka Chi Secondary School became a government-subsidized school. This helped to ensure the school’s stability and future. In 1988, Ka Chi moved again. This time it was to Tuen Mun, as part of a government relocation plan.

Today, Ka Chi Secondary School boasts impressive facilities. There are 24 classrooms. The school also features 17 special rooms. These include computer centers, science labs and a creative media centre. Students also enjoy a music room, art room and a large renovated library.

PAOC Ka Chi Secondary School uses Chinese as the major medium of instruction. It is estimated as Band 3B. This is just a rough estimate. The school’s motto is “博文約禮”. This encourages students to be broad in learning and restrained by propriety.

Several notable individuals have graduated from Ka Chi Secondary School. These include actress and television personality Koyi Mak. Singer and actress Chloe So also attended the school. Another graduate is Roadfee, a singer and equestrian. These alumni demonstrate the diverse talents nurtured at Ka Chi.

In 2003, the school changed its name. It became the PAOC Ka Chi Secondary School. This reflects its connection to the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. In 2006, the school received the Caring School Award.

Ka Chi Secondary School has faced challenges. In 2014, an error led to an early exam. The school administration quickly addressed the mistake. In 2022, a bullying incident occurred. The school took swift action.

Ka Chi Secondary School is more than bricks and mortar. It is a community. It is a place where students can learn. They can grow and achieve their full potential. It is a place where the love of God guides the path.
