Jugendkirche LightHouse is a cooperative project. EJW, CVJM, Pfadis, and the local church work together. Their collaboration creates a vibrant space. This space is for the youth of Waiblingen. The D. Bonhoeffer House hosts the Jugendkirche’s activities. Each group offers its unique programs. They also contribute to the Jugendkirche’s larger mission.

Since 2016, EJW Bezirk Waiblingen, CVJM Waiblingen, and CPD Waiblingen have united. They operate under the Jugendkirche LightHouse umbrella. The CVJM Waiblingen has served Waiblingen for over 125 years. They focus on young people. The Christian Scouts have been active in Waiblingen for over 100 years. They work with children aged 6 to 18.

In 2015, the Evang. Kirchengemeinde Waiblingen decided something big. The Dietrich Bonhoeffer House would become the Jugendkirche. The church entrusted three youth groups with a mission. EJW, CVJM, and CPD would launch Jugendkirche LightHouse.

Jugendkirche LightHouse offers a wide range of activities. There are programs for all ages. From toddlers to young adults. They have it all. There are Krabbelgruppe sessions for the little ones. Meuten- und Sippenstunden cater to different age groups. Konfiunterricht prepares teens for confirmation. Trainee and Teeniearbeit offer guidance. Even a Posaunenchor fills the air with music. Regular Gottesdienste provide spiritual nourishment.

Want to get involved? The Jugendleitungskreis brings together young leaders. They assist with Jugo events and Konfiarbeit. They also lend a hand in technical areas. They work on various projects. If you are 15 to 20 years old, you are welcome to join.

“15 Steps” is a teen group for 13 to 17-year-olds. The evenings are filled with games and a devotional. You can learn about God. The group has fun and participates in Jugendkirche activities.

At Jugendkirche LightHouse, young people can explore their faith. A space is provided. This space allows them to experiment. They hope you will feel right at home here. The grounds feature a large hall and group rooms. There is also a band room. Large and small meadows surround the house.

Ready to visit? You will find Jugendkirche LightHouse at Talstrasse 11, 71332 Waiblingen. A few parking spaces are available in front of the house. You can also park at the Wolfgang-Zacher-Schule. It is at the end of Rontgenweg.

The Waiblingen train station is a 15-minute walk away. The Schippertsacker bus stop is a one-minute walk. It is located below the Jugendkirche.
