Fifty years. That’s what the Jubileu de Ouro Barueri Sculpture commemorates. This striking monument stands proudly along the Castello Branco Highway. It marks a significant milestone in Barueri’s history. The Jubileu de Ouro Barueri Sculpture isn’t just a statue. It’s a symbol of the city’s 50th anniversary of emancipation. Inaugurated on March 26, 1999, the sculpture is part of a larger urban project. The plaza surrounding the Jubileu de Ouro Barueri Sculpture is designed to reflect the city’s unique contours. The sculpture itself is a 14-meter high concrete structure. Its delta-wing design with an ogival opening echoes the arches of Barueri’s central boulevard. At the top, a brushed stainless steel insignia proclaims “BARUERI”. The city’s emblem and the inscription “50 anos – 1949/1999” are embedded in the concrete. A reflecting pool and water jets surround the base. A walkway leads visitors under the pórtico and over the water. As you stand here, imagine the celebrations that marked the city’s golden jubilee. The Jubileu de Ouro Barueri Sculpture is a testament to the city’s growth and resilience. It’s a beacon of progress, visible to motorists traveling in both directions along the busy highway.
