Named after the explorer John Cabot have you heard of this school before? John Cabot Catholic Secondary School stands before you. It is a place of learning and community. This Mississauga school opened its doors in 1997. It marked the 500th anniversary of Cabot’s North American landing.
Originally, John Cabot Catholic Secondary School served as a temporary home. Several other high schools used it as a holding site. These included St. Francis Xavier Secondary School, St. Joseph’s Secondary School, and Father Michael Goetz Secondary School. Joseph Geiser became the founding principal. He introduced the school’s motto Faith, Hope, and Charity. This motto guides the school’s mission.
