Driven by the community’s will and donations, the mosque was envisioned as more than just a place for prayer. It was intended as a hub for Islamic learning. The mosque aimed to nurture Islamic principles alongside academic knowledge. Upon completion, Masjid Al-Furqaan became central to students and staff. This would make it accessible to the community.

During construction, Masjid Al-Furqaan received visits from Sheikh Abdul Rehman Al Sudais and Dr. Sheikh Saud Al Shuraim. Both were from the Grand Mosque in Makkah. They laid foundation stones. Dr. Sheikh Saud Al Shuraim recommended the name Masjid al-Furqaan. Thanks to donations, the Masjid was built within a year. It was handed over to the Islamia School Family.
