Throughout the years, the Instytut Słowacki has had many directors. Cecília Kandráčová led from 2004 to 2008. Helena Jacošová followed from 2008 to 2013. Milan Novotný directed from 2013 to 2018 and again from 2022. Adrián Kromka was the director between 2018 and 2022.
