IHI STAGE AROUND TOKYO was a unique amphitheater in Tokyo. It offered a revolutionary theater experience. The IHI STAGE AROUND TOKYO was located in Toyosu. This is in the Koto ward of Tokyo.

Opened on March 30 2017 the IHI STAGE AROUND TOKYO closed on April 30 2024. TBS Television operated it. IHI Corporation held the naming rights.

The IHI STAGE AROUND TOKYO featured a revolving stage. The audience sat on a giant turning tray. It was the first of its kind in Asia. It provided a sensual and immersive experience. The audience revolved around the 360-degree stage. Up to four stages could be built at once.

The inaugural performance was “Seven Souls in the Skull Castle”. It was Kazuki Nakashima’s acclaimed samurai drama.

The IHI STAGE AROUND TOKYO had a seating capacity of 1314. It was like the SceneAround system in TheaterHangaar.

2023 was the last season for the IHI STAGE AROUND TOKYO. Itochu Property Development and Sankei Building are redeveloping the area. It will become “CREVIA BASE Tokyo”.

Several performances graced the stage of the IHI STAGE AROUND TOKYO. These included “Metal Macbeth” and “West Side Story”. There was also “Musical Touken Ranbu”. Sanrio’s “From Hello Kitty” also appeared.

To get here you could walk one minute from Shijo-mae Station. You could also walk from Shin-Toyosu Station or Toyosu Station.
