“A vibrant community of faith” That’s how I’d describe the Igreja Presbiteriana Nova Aliança. This isn’t just a building. It’s a living testament to the Presbyterian faith in São Paulo. The Igreja Presbiteriana Nova Aliança emerged from a union. It united two existing Presbyterian churches. One was the IP Alto da Lapa. It had been around for ten years. The other was the IP Betânia. It began its journey in 1935. This merger formed the foundation of the Igreja Presbiteriana Nova Aliança we see today.
Rev Jonas Cunha served as the first pastor from 2009 to 2012. He guided the church through its formative years. His legacy continues to shape the congregation. Rev David Cestavo then took on the pastoral role. He led the church from 2013 to 2022. Rev Samuel Ribeiro now leads the congregation. He faces the exciting challenges of continuing this legacy.
