Established in 1985 the Igreja Presbiteriana Filadélfia stands as a testament to faith and community. It began as a small congregation. The initial services were held in the home of Eliezer Menezes de Lima and his wife. This humble beginning however soon blossomed. The church grew steadily. It quickly outgrew its original space. In 1989 the Igreja Presbiteriana Filadélfia acquired its own building. This significant milestone marked a new chapter in the church’s history. The dedication ceremony drew 150 people. It showcased the church’s expanding influence within the community. The Igreja Presbiteriana Filadélfia’s growth was not only about physical expansion. It was also about its spiritual and social impact. The church established a Sunday school with four classes in 1989. By 1991 it had formed various internal organizations. These included the UPH SAF UMP and UPA. These groups fostered fellowship and service among its members. These achievements are a testament to the dedication of its early members. They helped lay the foundations for the thriving community it is today. The official organization of the Igreja Presbiteriana Filadélfia as an independent church took place on March 15 1992. The current pastor Rev Edson Talles Dias Gonçalves assumed leadership in 2023. He continues the legacy of service and devotion.
