In February 1992 a new church was organized. It was called Igreja Evangu00e9lica Batista Alto da Boa Vista. This was a branch of the Convenu00e7u00e3o Batista Brasileira. Pastor Domingos Mendes Alves led the church. He and his family had moved from Campinas to Ribeiru00e3o Preto to start this new church. Many local Baptist pastors supported them. The Igreja Pentecostal Batista Nova Alianu00e7a started small. It began as a small group meeting in homes. As more people joined the small gatherings grew. They met in various locations. These included houses hotels convention centers and schools.

The Igreja Pentecostal Batista Nova Alianu00e7a wasn’t always easy. In 1997 the church’s name changed. It became Igreja Evangu00e9lica Batista Nova Alianu00e7a. People also called it Igreja Nova Alianu00e7a or Famu00edlia Nova Alianu00e7a. The church faced some difficult times. There were periods of division in 1996 and 2019. Despite these challenges the church persevered. God’s grace helped them through. They continued to grow stronger. They expanded their reach.

In 2011 the church moved to its own building. This is in the Jardim Nova Alianu00e7a neighborhood. It’s in the southern part of Ribeiru00e3o Preto. The location is convenient. It’s near Ribeiru00e3o Shopping. It’s also near the Novo Mercado da Cidade and a Honda dealership. The building itself is important. But the real church is the people.
